Same here! I tend to gravitate toward stories that mix romance with unique settings, like small towns or rural life. One book I’m particularly excited about is Kate’s Cowboy: Equestrian Romance and Self-Discovery. I love it when a book not only explores relationships but also the personal journeys of the characters. A strong sense of place and well-developed characters make all the difference in a good romance.

Definitely agree. I recently picked up Wompus Stompus illustrated by Mollie Nelson — not a romance, but such a quirky and beautifully illustrated book about life in a wild little town. It actually made me think about how much a vivid setting can enhance any story, even if the plot itself is simple. It’s like you get fully transported.
